Opening a Field Airport in Unfamiliar Territory: Witness the Air Force's Super Strong Comprehensive Support Capability

Recently, a certain air station of the Central Theater Command Air Force organized a comprehensive exercise for all-element realistic combat support to test the troops' comprehensive support capabilities.

At the start of the exercise, firefighting tactical units initiated fire extinguishing, drones detected weather conditions, and self-rescue and mutual rescue in battle injuries were carried out first. Various support vehicles quickly arrived at the helipad, and refueling and charging operations proceeded in an orderly manner. Each support team stood ready, preparing for the large-scale deployment of aircraft. Subsequently, the officers and soldiers received reports of damage to the airport runway from an "enemy" strike, and the munitions recovery and repair team quickly assembled to carry out cutting, clearing, backfilling, and leveling operations to restore the airport's operational capacity.

During the exercise, the officers and soldiers received an emergency situation regarding an aircraft's urgent landing. The mobile support team immediately proceeded to an unfamiliar target area to establish a field airport, conducting operations without ground support facilities. The debugging of navigation and guidance equipment, deployment of repair vehicles, and on-site weather detection were quickly initiated, with all elements closely coordinating and operating efficiently, successfully simulating the aircraft's emergency landing. This exercise included scenarios such as large-scale aircraft deployment, runway damage from enemy attacks, mobilization of the support team, establishment of a field airport, and military-civilian collaborative support, allowing participating officers and soldiers to practice command and coordination in a combat-like environment, honing their combat skills and fighting style.
