Xinhua News Agency, Islamabad, June 29 - Pakistan's Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, stated on social media late on the night of the 28th that Pakistan's security forces conducted an intelligence-based ground strike operation near the Afghan border that day, killing 29 militants.

Tarar said that this operation was a response to a series of recent terrorist attacks that occurred within Pakistan.
