Peacekeeping battlefield shines with loyalty

—— Multiple Chinese peacekeeping forces celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China

PLA Daily, Beijing, June 29 - On the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, several of our overseas peacekeeping forces held activities in their respective mission areas to revisit their original aspirations and missions, expressing their firm determination to follow the Party's command and fulfill their duties.

On June 29, local time, in southern Lebanon, within the Chinese camp of the 24th batch of peacekeeping forces, the five-star red flag rose solemnly with the national anthem. The officers and soldiers stood tall and saluted respectfully. After the flag-raising ceremony, party members faced the bright red party flag and revisited their party oath. “I volunteer to join the Communist Party of China…” The oath resonated throughout the peacekeeping camp.

In the distant Abyei, the 3rd batch of peacekeeping rapid reaction team held themed party classes and shared stories of party history to celebrate the party's birthday. On June 28, the leaders of the rapid reaction team gave a lecture titled “Firm Belief and Faith, Forge Absolute Loyalty,” inspiring officers and soldiers to achieve success on the peacekeeping battlefield. The morale of the officers and soldiers was high, vowing to deliver a qualified answer with practical actions.

The 6th batch of peacekeeping helicopter unit in Abyei held a themed party day activity on the helipad. All party members revisited their party oath, and new member Zhang Tao solemnly swore in front of the party flag: “It is an immense honor to join the party while on a peacekeeping mission! I will do my utmost to fulfill my duties.” Maintenance personnel Wu Jun stated that his party membership motivates him to strive for excellence, ensuring that the combat aircraft are ready to take off at any time. The unit's party committee called for the establishment of a party member assault team to bravely tackle urgent and difficult tasks in the rainy season, strictly adhere to discipline, and showcase the image of a peacekeeping force. At the end of the activity, the party members solemnly signed their names in front of the party flag to commemorate their commitment.

In the South Sudan (Juba) mission area, the 12th batch of peacekeeping infantry battalion also held a themed party day activity. During the ceremony to revisit the party oath, veteran members presented party badges to new members; through studying party history, watching red-themed films, and sharing original aspirations, the officers and soldiers further consolidated their willpower to fulfill their peacekeeping mission.

In the South Sudan (Wau) mission area, the 16th batch of peacekeeping engineering team held an oath-taking ceremony in front of the party flag. The officers and soldiers expressed their commitment to engrave their absolute loyalty to the Party on every blue helmet position.

From Lebanon to South Sudan, from Abyei to Wau, all peacekeeping officers and soldiers expressed a common voice during the activities: they will always keep the readiness for battle tight, firmly hold their positions, and complete every peacekeeping task to the highest standards, living up to the trust of the motherland and the people.
