Rocket Attack on Baghdad International Airport
Xinhua News Agency, Baghdad, March 15 (Reporter Li Jun, Duan Minfu) - The Iraqi security forces stated on the 15th that the Baghdad International Airport and its surrounding areas were attacked by rockets that evening, resulting in 5 injuries.
Saad Ma'an, head of the security media center under the Iraqi Joint Operations Command, issued a statement saying that around 7 PM local time, Baghdad International Airport and its vicinity were hit by 5 rockets, injuring 4 airport staff and 1 engineer.
The statement also mentioned that following the attack, security forces immediately launched a search operation and seized a rocket launcher from a vehicle in the Radwaniyah area, southwest of Baghdad. Relevant departments have strengthened security vigilance in the attacked area.
