According to the Romanian Ministry of Defense, on that afternoon, the ministry's radar system detected a drone in the vicinity of the national airspace, prompting the air defense forces to initiate preventive alert measures. At around 17:50 local time, two F-16 fighter jets stationed at the Fetesti Air Base took off urgently to respond.
The report stated that the drone briefly entered Romanian airspace before flying north and leaving, posing no direct threat to human life. At around 18:45 on the 25th, the alert measures were lifted, and no debris from the aircraft was found at the scene.
