Russia and Ukraine Exchange Attacks on Each Other's Military Targets, Including Black Sea Vessels

Xinhua News Agency, Kyiv/Moscow, August 7 - According to reports from Ukraine and Russia on the 7th, Ukraine struck six Russian vessels in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov over the past two days, while the Russian armed forces targeted Ukrainian military fuel tanks and cargo ships in the Black Sea on the same day.

Robert Blazut, commander of Ukraine's unmanned systems forces, announced on social media that in the past 48 hours, Ukrainian unmanned systems forces struck a total of 102 Russian targets, including six vessels from the "Shadow Fleet" in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, consisting of two tankers and four cargo ships. The Ukrainian side also targeted eight Russian transport and unloading points, two fuel and ammunition depots, two radar systems, and one "Buk" air defense missile system, among other targets.

On the same day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian armed forces used land-based precision weapons and attack drones to strike fuel tanks in Ukrainian Black Sea ports used by the Ukrainian military, as well as two Ukrainian cargo ships transporting military supplies in the Black Sea waters.

Additionally, according to reports from Russian news agency RIA Novosti citing Turkish sources, a cargo ship flying the Turkish flag was attacked by drones in a Russian Black Sea port on the same day, with no casualties reported. Ukraine is said to be the "mastermind" behind this attack.
