Russia claims to intercept 635 Ukrainian drones; Ukraine claims to destroy 69 Russian artillery systems.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the morning of August 2 that over the past night, Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 635 Ukrainian drones over multiple locations, including the Moscow region, as well as over the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. In the early hours of the 2nd, the Russian armed forces continued to strike Ukrainian ports and maritime vessels serving the interests of the Ukrainian armed forces.

On the same day, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that since 6 PM on August 1, Russian forces have used 133 drones to attack Ukraine. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces released a situation report as of 8 AM on the 2nd, stating that over the past day, Ukrainian forces destroyed 10 armored vehicles, 69 artillery systems, and 2 air defense systems of the Russian military.
