Zunyi City, Guizhou Province

On June 7, Zunyi City in Guizhou Province experienced heavy rainfall, causing water levels to rise sharply and resulting in disasters in multiple areas such as Jinding Mountain Town and Hailong Town, with some roads experiencing water accumulation and mud buildup. The Zunyi Military Sub-district mobilized over a hundred militia members to rush to the disaster-stricken Jinding Mountain Town to protect the lives and property of the people.

After the water level receded slightly, the militia helped the community clear out affected houses and roads, focusing on relocating affected residents, distributing emergency supplies, and conducting on-site inspections in the disaster area, while closely checking for risks and hidden dangers to prevent secondary disasters such as landslides and water backflow.

Changshun County, Guizhou Province

In recent days, Changshun County in Guizhou Province has been experiencing continuous heavy rainfall, leading to road flooding, slope collapses, street waterlogging, and water entering houses in some areas. Among them, the water level of the Banzong Reservoir in Baisuo Town exceeded the warning line, and rainwater submerged the reservoir's flood discharge gate equipment, preventing the gate from opening normally for flood discharge.

The Changshun County People's Armed Forces quickly assembled militia forces, carrying professional equipment to the site of the emergency. Upon arrival, the militia used tools to clear drainage channels and remove obstacles in the emergency operation area, ensuring the passage of rescue machinery and the rapid drainage of accumulated water.

In response to the core danger of the reservoir's high water level and excessive pressure on the dam, the militia members coordinated seamlessly, filling bags with soil, transporting, stacking, and compacting in an orderly assembly line manner, using sandbags to comprehensively reinforce and block weak sections of the dam, seepage points, and soft slope areas, building a solid protective barrier for the dam.
