Through the inheritance of four generations of officers and soldiers, it highlights that under the leadership of the Party, the People's Navy has developed from nothing to something, from small to large, and from weak to strong, achieving leapfrog development. The "Easter egg" embedded at the end of the promotional video subtly implies that Taiwan will eventually return to the family of the motherland.

A Legacy of Faith from a Compass

The promotional video opens with scenes of modern naval warfare, but the true "soul" that runs throughout the entire video is a compass. The video constructs a clear talent chain: former Yangtze ship crew member Liao Ning is the instructor of submarine captain Shan Dong, passing a compass to Shan Dong, who then passes it to the deputy navigator of the Anshan ship, Fu Jian.

The compass is showcased multiple times in the film. In the West Pacific waters, after successfully launching an anti-ship missile, Shan Dong holds the compass and delivers a monologue: "This compass is the light in my heart; even in the deep sea, it illuminates my direction."

The promotional video closely combines the compass and light, and Liao Ning has also expressed similar sentiments, stating that he has never lost his way at sea, "As long as there is light in my heart, the course will not deviate."

The generations of inheritance of the compass represent the transmission of this belief and spirit; the compass is a tangible carrier of this belief and spirit. "The waves of the Yangtze push the waves ahead; your generation is stronger than mine. I hope this compass can be passed down from generation to generation," Liao Ning entrusts this hope to the next generation of officers and soldiers.

"The 'compass' and 'light' in the promotional video indicate that generations of officers and soldiers have always firmly followed the Party, listened to the Party's commands, ensured that they do not lose their way during their long voyages, and consistently practiced the purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly, faithfully fulfilling the missions entrusted by the Party and the people, and resolutely defending national sovereignty and security."

Military issues expert Zhang Junsha stated in an interview with a Global Times reporter on the 22nd that the scenes in the promotional video, where submarine forces, the Anshan ship, the Shandong ship, other surface ship forces, the Marine Corps, coastal defense forces, and aviation troops cooperate and strike together, fully demonstrate that the People's Navy has developed from the initial few hundred tons of the Yangtze ship to a modern naval force encompassing five major branches. "It is under the leadership of the Party that the People's Navy has developed from nothing to something, from small to large, and from weak to strong, achieving leapfrog development."

The Easter Egg at the End Contains Huge Information

The "Easter egg" in the People's Navy promotional video has become a tradition, and this time the ending is also packed with information. The camera shifts to a primary school on Tongyi Road in Weihai City, where submarine captain Shan Dong picks up his son Xiao Wan after school at the school gate.

The "Tongyi Road" primary school is self-explanatory. The son's nickname "Xiao Wan" clearly refers to Taiwan. Additionally, the dialogue in the video is quite meaningful. Xiao Wan says, "Dad, I don't want to go home; I want to play outside for a while longer," to which Shan Dong responds, "Xiao Wan, you can't be lazy; your mom is still waiting for you at home."

This seemingly casual conversation is interpreted as a metaphor for "Lai Ching-te" (being lazy) and "going home." It conveys a simple yet firm message: no matter how long the "child" plays outside, he must eventually return home, as the motherland is waiting. This forms a closed loop with the Navy's hardcore exercises in the West Pacific—strong military power is the assurance that the "child" can return home safely.

In this regard, military issues expert Zhang Junsha analyzed to the Global Times reporter that whether the protagonist says "Mom is waiting for you at home" or playfully pinches the child's nose, it indicates that the mainland considers Taiwan as part of the big family, demonstrating ample goodwill.

"Achieving complete reunification of the motherland is an inevitable requirement for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Lai Ching-te, who is 'playing lazy,' and the 'Taiwan independence' separatist forces should not be deluded; they must not continue to drift further down the path of dividing the country. The goodwill and restraint from the mainland are limited, and all actions of the 'Taiwan independence' separatist forces are always under control," Zhang Junsha stated.

"We warn the relevant forces to recognize their mistakes, awaken, and turn back to the right path. The motherland is always open, looking forward to the early reunion of compatriots on both sides of the strait," Zhang Junsha emphasized.
