The "Regulations on Promoting Employment and Entrepreneurship of Retired Soldiers" officially came into effect on August 1. The regulations introduce a series of supportive policies focusing on education and training, employment recruitment, and entrepreneurship support, providing comprehensive assistance for retired soldiers to achieve high-quality and full employment.

In terms of education and training, retired soldiers participating in national education examinations and receiving academic education will enjoy preferential treatment and funding policies in accordance with national regulations. At the same time, the state will incorporate vocational skills training for retired soldiers into the lifelong vocational skills training policy and implementation system, with clear provisions for adaptive training, free vocational skills training, and training subsidies.

Employment preferential measures have been further improved. The regulations stipulate that when government agencies, mass organizations, public institutions, and state-owned enterprises recruit personnel, they may appropriately relax the age and educational requirements for retired soldiers, giving priority to the recruitment of retired soldiers under the same conditions.

In terms of entrepreneurship support, the regulations optimize multiple support measures, clearly stating that tax, financing, and credit support policies will be provided for retired soldiers starting businesses. Local people's governments at or above the county level are encouraged to support and guide retired soldiers with entrepreneurial intentions and training needs to participate in entrepreneurship training, encouraging retired soldiers to engage in entrepreneurship and innovation.
