The Heroic Warships Showcase Their Mission Responsibility! The Northern Theater Command's Naval Open Day Event Concludes

Today (22nd) in Qingdao, Shandong, the naval ship open day of the Northern Theater Command entered its final day, with the Navy's Kaifeng and Linyi ships open to the public. At 17:30 today, the four-day ship open day will come to a close.

During this ship open day, the Northern Theater Command Navy opened the domestically produced missile destroyer Kaifeng and the missile frigate Linyi to the public. Visitors from all over the country had the opportunity to closely observe the weapons and equipment, listen to sailors' explanations, and feel the mission and responsibility of the naval officers and soldiers to strengthen the sea and protect the maritime territory.

Navy Linyi Ship Yang Tongtong: We are very proud to showcase our distinguished warship to everyone. This is not only a national defense education event but also a valuable opportunity for military-civilian connection. We will continue to tell the deep blue stories and let everyone see the determination of the People's Navy to protect the maritime territory.

The Navy's Kaifeng ship, hull number 124, is a domestically developed and built 052D class missile destroyer. In July of this year, the Kaifeng ship participated in the China-Russia "Maritime 2026" joint exercise. The Navy's Linyi ship, hull number 547, is a domestically developed and built 054A class missile frigate. Since its commissioning in 2012, it has carried out a series of significant training missions, including the evacuation of citizens from Yemen, escort missions in the Gulf of Aden, and joint exercises with Russia, with its tracks covering five continents and three oceans.

At the event site, in addition to boarding the ships for visits, the audience can also experience a series of naval specialty activities.
