On April 28, Xinhua News Agency reported from Jerusalem (reporters Pang Xinyi and Chen Junqing) that a spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces issued a statement on social media, urging the residents of 16 villages and towns in southern Lebanon to "evacuate immediately," stating that the Israeli military is about to "take action" in the area.

According to a diagram released by the Israeli military, the "evacuation area" is located south of the Litani River. The Israeli military has requested that local residents cross the Litani River and evacuate towards the Sidon area in the northwest. The Israeli military also stated that anyone approaching Hezbollah facilities in Lebanon will be at "risk to their life."

At midnight local time on the 17th, a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon took effect for a period of 10 days. U.S. President Trump announced on the 23rd that the ceasefire would be extended for three weeks. However, Israel and Hezbollah have accused each other of violating the ceasefire agreement and have launched attacks on that basis. Data released by the Lebanese Ministry of Health on the 27th indicated that since the resumption of hostilities between Israel and Lebanon on March 2, Israeli attacks on Lebanon have resulted in 2,521 deaths and 7,804 injuries.
