Xinhua News Agency, Jerusalem, October 7 (Reporters Pang Xinyi and Wang Zhuolun) The Israel Defense Forces announced on October 7 that since the outbreak of the new round of the Israel-Palestine conflict on October 7, 2023, the IDF has struck approximately 100,000 targets across the Middle East.

The IDF stated that among these targets, about 65,000 are located in the Palestinian Gaza Strip, approximately 28,000 in Lebanon and Syria, around 4,500 in Iran, and about 80 in Yemen.

The data released by the IDF also shows that the current size of the IDF reserve forces has increased by 36% compared to three years ago. In addition, due to "changing operational requirements," the average service time for reserve personnel in combat units of the IDF will increase from the previously planned approximately 55 days at the beginning of the year to 80 to 100 days. Since Israel issued a call-up order in August 2024, about 22,000 retired personnel have been recalled to the reserve forces.
