Since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict in 2022, it has entered its fifth year, and Ukraine will be the focus of this year's parade. The "French Patrol" aerial demonstration team will kick off the aerial display, accompanied by two Mirage 2000 fighter jets flown by mixed French-Ukrainian crews.

The "Volunteer Alliance," composed of 35 countries (prepared to provide security guarantees to Ukraine after a ceasefire is reached), has accepted President Macron's invitation to participate in the parade. This will also be Macron's tenth and final National Day parade as head of state.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Christopher G. Cavoli have also been invited to attend.

French soldiers from NATO multinational battalions deployed on the eastern front in Europe (Romania, Estonia) will march down this famous Paris avenue.

General Michon stated that the presence of allies and partners aims to visually confirm that "Europe is not fighting alone." He also pointed out that the parade aims to visually showcase to the French public the results of the country's sustained financial investment in military capabilities over the past decade.

The French Defense Digital Committee will participate in the parade for the first time to "highlight the digital transformation process of the French Ministry of Defense." Two reserve personnel formations will also participate in the parade: one composed of reservists from the French state railway company and the other from reservists of Airbus France.
