Jiang Bin: President Xi recently attended the 26th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and delivered an important speech, stating that China is willing to work with all parties to implement a common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security concept, making the Shanghai Cooperation Organization an important platform for practicing the global security initiative. Security is the cornerstone of development, and peace is the source of prosperity. The member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization attach great importance to defense and security cooperation, organizing multiple meetings of defense ministers and chiefs of general staff, holding joint anti-terrorism exercises such as "Peace Mission," and military music festivals like "Peace Horn," as well as engaging in professional exchanges in military medicine, military transportation, and military translation. They also conduct senior officer training courses, exchanges for young and middle-aged officers, and activities like the "Shanghai Cooperation Organization+" youth think tank salon.
