Three CDU Members of the Bundestag visit Elbit Systems Deutschland
Ulm, June 19, 2026 – The three CDU Members of the Bundestag, Wolfgang Dahler,
Roderich Kiesewetter, and Volker Mayer-Lay, traveled to Ulm on June 19. During their
visit to Elbit Systems Deutschland, they learned about current production processes
and Elbit’s plans. Elbit Systems Deutschland has been expanding in recent years,
employing several hundred staff members in Germany and continuously strengthening its operations and footprint in the region.
In an open and constructive discussion, CEO Marian Rachow explained the upcoming
projects to them.
Following this, the members of parliament were given a tour of the facility, providing
them with insight into the production of the soldier radio manufactured in Ulm. Using
the E-LynX Soldier Radios (PNR-1000D) as an example, the company demonstrated
how technology transfer and production setup of Israeli technology in Germany can be
achieved. The PNR-1000D soldier radio is manufactured and repaired in Germany, at
the Ulm facility.
Elbit Systems Deutschland has already delivered several thousand units to the Army.
In addition, production is set to expand to Neu-Ulm aiming to increase production
capacity.
Elbit Systems Deutschland is taking a leading role in establishing a resilient production
and supply chain structure for Germany and Europe through several ongoing industrial
initiatives, such as its cooperation under the EuroPULS JV. As a hub for the European
market, the company is becoming an important component within the Elbit Group.
Marian Rachow, the company’s CEO, explains: “We are investing in the future of Elbit
Systems Deutschland. We strive to strengthen national defense in line with our motto:
‘Make Invasion Impossible.’ We are not only creating new production sites, but also
generating jobs and economic value in Germany. At the same time, we aim to
contribute to the expansion of the Bundeswehr’s capabilities. This makes it all the more
important to work closely with other companies and engage in direct dialogue with
political representatives.”
Wolfgang Dahler, the new member of parliament for the Ulm constituency, confirms
this assessment: “Given the geopolitical changes of recent years, the defense industry
has become more important. Only those who are strong can deter a potential
aggressor. It’s good that Elbit Systems Deutschland, based in Ulm, is helping to make
that happen.”
