Trump says new round of strikes against Iran will not "last too long"

On September 2 local time, U.S. President Trump stated to reporters at the White House that the new round of strikes against Iran would not "last too long."

Trump said that Iran is trying to rebuild its radar systems, missile systems, and mine-laying devices. The U.S. military's attack on Iran on the 1st was "very fierce," destroying all the new equipment that Iran "was trying to deploy along the coast of the Strait of Hormuz," and "we are ready to strike again at any time."

Trump also stated that the U.S. has already and will continue to control the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, saying, "We have a large number of ships carrying millions of barrels of oil in and out every day, and overall everything is going smoothly. Although drones are occasionally shot down, we have a firm grip on the situation."
