Two Russian Oil Tankers Damaged in Drone Attack
On July 8, Xinhua News Agency reported from Moscow that the governor of Rostov Oblast in southwestern Russia, Slyusari, stated on social media that the region experienced a large-scale drone attack early that morning, resulting in damage to two oil tankers and two people sustaining minor injuries.
Slyusari indicated that the two oil tankers heading to Rostov-on-Don were attacked by drones in the Taganrog Bay, and that Rostov Oblast still faces a drone threat, urging residents to stay indoors and away from windows.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated on social media that from 8 PM Moscow time on the 7th to 8 AM on the 8th, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 415 drones in various locations.
