Ukraine claims Russian attack has resulted in 13 deaths and hundreds injured.

On June 2 local time, Ukrainian Interior Minister Klymenko reported that Russia launched a joint attack on Ukraine in the early hours of the day, resulting in 13 deaths and over a hundred injuries within Ukraine, with significant damage to civilian infrastructure in multiple cities.

According to the report, the cities of Kyiv, Dnipro, and Kharkiv were the most severely affected by this attack. A total of 29 areas in Kyiv were hit, and most of the fires have been brought under control, although there are still ongoing response efforts at 6 sites in 5 districts.

The attack resulted in 4 deaths in Kyiv, with over 60 residents injured and receiving medical treatment, including a 3-year-old child who was injured by shrapnel. Damaged facilities in the area include residential buildings, car sales centers, educational institutions, gas stations, and other civilian structures. A service center of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs also caught fire, and related services have been adjusted to other internal affairs service centers in Kyiv.

In addition, several residential buildings in Dnipro were destroyed, resulting in a total of 9 deaths, including a child and a firefighter who rushed to the scene to provide assistance. The attack also caused injuries to 35 local residents, with 6 people reported missing. One rescuer and two civilians were injured in Kamyanske, while multiple residential buildings and a food enterprise in Kharkiv were damaged, with over ten people injured.

Besides the aforementioned cities, there were also reports of damage to civilian facilities in Mykolaiv Oblast, Kharkiv Oblast, Poltava Oblast, Sumy Oblast, Chernihiv Oblast, and Zaporizhzhia, with multiple fires occurring in Kyiv Oblast as well. (Reporter: Dong Wei, CCTV)
