Ukraine claims Russian military is intensifying the expansion of drone forces.

Reference News Network, March 15 report According to the Russian "Labor Newspaper" website on March 12, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, stated on the social platform "Telegram" that the Ukraine conflict has entered a new phase. Now, it is a "technological war," where the decisive factors for success or failure lie in the large-scale application of unmanned systems and the rapid extension of strike ranges.

The military commander pointed out that the technological advantage on the battlefield has now become the most important condition for preserving one's own combat power.

Syrsky emphasized: "The conflict has entered a new phase. The expansion of the 'kill zone' is due to the enhanced operational capabilities of attack drones."

Syrsky stated that he learned from intelligence sources that Russia is accelerating the formation of specialized drone units, the scale of which has caused deep concern within the Ukrainian military command.

He said: "Russia has the capability to produce more than 19,000 first-person view (FPV) drones daily." He added that by early April, the number of personnel in Russia's specialized drone units could increase to 101,000.

In response, the Ukrainian military command has had to urgently form drone interception units equipped with net guns and electronic warfare equipment. Syrsky mentioned that Kyiv is also betting on ground robotic systems and fiber optic drones.

Syrsky said: "Any technological equipment that can lighten the burden on infantry should be introduced into the troops. In this context, accelerating the development of drone systems is our top priority." (Translation/ Han Ziling)
