On July 12, Xinhua News Agency reported from Kyiv (Reporter Li Dongxu) that the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated on social media that in the early hours of the day, the Ukrainian military attacked the Sezran oil refinery in Russia's Samara region. In addition, the Ukrainian side also struck 10 Russian oil tankers and 4 ferries in the Sea of Azov.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that the attack caused an explosion and fire at the Sezran oil refinery, and the extent of the damage is being verified. This refinery is one of the largest oil refineries under the Russian oil company and was previously attacked by the Ukrainian military in August last year.

The Ukrainian side also stated that the Ukrainian military targeted 10 oil tankers and 4 ferries in the Sea of Azov, which the Russian side uses to transport oil and logistical supplies.

Recently, the Ukrainian military has launched a series of large-scale attacks on Russian oil tankers and other targets in the Sea of Azov, attempting to further weaken Russia's combat capabilities.
