Xinhua News Agency, Moscow/Kiev, July 6 (Reporters Hou Ming, Li Dongxu) According to information released by the Russian and Ukrainian military, from July 4 to 6, Ukraine launched large-scale attacks on multiple energy facilities in Russia; on July 6, Russia conducted airstrikes on military-industrial complexes, fuel, and energy facilities related to the Ukrainian military.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on July 6 that from the evening of July 5 to July 6, the Ukrainian military used 625 drones to carry out large-scale attacks on civilian fuel and energy infrastructure and logistics supply lines in Leningrad Oblast, Bryansk Oblast, Belgorod Oblast, and Yaroslavl Oblast within Russia. The Russian side shot down 613 of these drones. In response, on July 6, Russia launched large-scale airstrikes against Ukraine, focusing on military-industrial complexes, fuel, and energy facilities related to the Ukrainian military located in Kyiv city and Kyiv Oblast.
The head of the Kherson regional administration appointed by Russia, Saldo, stated on social media on July 6 that the Ukrainian military launched drone attacks on the Kherson region from July 4 to 6, resulting in 2 deaths and 15 injuries.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated on social media on July 6 that in the early hours of that day, the Ukrainian military attacked the "Yaroslavl" oil refinery in Yaroslavl Oblast and the "Novatek-Ust-Luga" oil refinery in Leningrad Oblast, causing explosions at both refineries.
Robert Brauti, commander of the Ukrainian unmanned systems forces, stated on social media on July 6 that in the early hours of that day, the Ukrainian unmanned systems forces struck 47 military targets in the Russian rear and deep areas, including two Russian "shadow fleet" tankers transporting fuel to Crimea in the Sea of Azov.
