UNIFIL Continues to Monitor Violations of Lebanese Airspace
On the 13th local time, the United Nations stated that according to reports from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), since the beginning of this week, UNIFIL has continuously monitored violations of Lebanese airspace and ground military activities by the Israeli military in southern Lebanon. Between the 10th and 12th, peacekeeping personnel discovered a total of 100 incidents of violations of Lebanese airspace, involving drones and fighter jets. During the same period, UNIFIL recorded 427 flight paths, all identified as originating from the Israel Defense Forces.
In addition, this week UNIFIL has continued to observe large-scale ground military activities by the Israeli military within its so-called "operational area," including the deployment of large armored units, engineering operations, logistical movements, tactical patrols, and troop concentrations. It has also been observed that Israeli military tanks and artillery have been firing in the area.
