The spokesperson for the China Coast Guard, Jiang Lue, stated that on July 24, the Philippines organized 7 government vessels, 3 coast guard ships, and 1 fishing transport vessel, and incited a large number of fishing boats to illegally gather in the waters under the jurisdiction of China's Huangyan Island. During this period, the Philippine vessels 3001, 3005, and 3017, disregarding repeated warnings and admonitions from the Chinese Coast Guard, insisted on intruding into the territorial waters of China's Huangyan Island. The Chinese Coast Guard took necessary measures such as issuing verbal warnings, blocking and controlling, and using water cannons to resolutely drive away the Philippine intruding vessels, with operations conducted in a professional, standardized, and lawful manner.
Following the violent attack on Chinese Coast Guard law enforcement personnel at Ren'ai Reef on July 20, the Philippines sent ships to intrude into the waters under the jurisdiction of China's Huangyan Island for two consecutive days, creating disturbances in multiple areas of the South China Sea and deliberately provoking, which seriously infringes on China's sovereignty and maritime rights and severely undermines peace and stability in the South China Sea. We warn the Philippine side to immediately cease its infringing and provocative actions, otherwise, all consequences arising from this will be borne by the Philippine side.
