Xinhua News Agency, Kuwait City, September 8 (Reporter Yin Zhao) - Sana'a reports: The Yemeni Houthi armed group claimed on the 8th that it launched a large-scale missile and drone attack on military and oil facilities in southern Saudi Arabia, in response to Saudi Arabia's recent military actions in Yemen.

Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree stated in a statement that the Houthi armed group used "dozens of ballistic missiles and drones" to attack facilities of Saudi Aramco located in Abha, Najran, and Jazan, as well as the Jizan Economic City near Khamis Mushait and King Khalid Air Base.

The statement claimed that the attack was "precise and direct," causing "significant damage" to the target facilities.

The statement also mentioned that Saudi Arabia had launched 121 airstrikes on Yemen in the past three days, and the Houthi military strike on that day was a response to Saudi Arabia's sharply escalating military actions. The Houthi armed group will continue to conduct military operations in the "deep areas within Saudi territory."

Earlier on the 8th, Saudi Arabia stated that the Houthi armed group attacked multiple civilian and economic facilities in Saudi Arabia, resulting in 73 injuries, including women and children. Turki al-Maliki, spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition, stated that this attack represents a "dangerous escalation," and the coalition will take measures to prevent further attacks.
