Xinhua News Agency, Kuwait City, September 13 (Reporter Yin Zhao) - Sana'a reports: The Yemeni Houthi armed group stated on the 13th that Saudi Arabia launched 58 airstrikes on six provinces in Yemen within the past 24 hours.

Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree released a statement on social media that the airstrikes affected most areas of Yemen, including the southwestern Taiz province, the southern Lahij province, the northern Al-Jawf province and Saada province, the northwestern Hajjah province, and the central Bayda province.

The statement said that the F-15 fighter jets carried out the aforementioned airstrikes after taking off from King Khalid Air Base in southwestern Saudi Arabia, and condemned this as "aggression carried out by Saudi Arabia."

The statement did not mention the casualties in the areas affected by the airstrikes.

So far, the Saudi side has not commented on this.

Recently, the Houthi armed group has intensified its offensive against the government forces and announced a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia, which supports the Yemeni government. On the 10th, both the Yemeni government forces and the Houthi armed group confirmed that the Houthis had captured the strategic Red Sea location and port city of Mocha that day. The Houthis stated on the 11th that since launching their offensive on September 3, they have captured approximately 5,400 square kilometers of land in western Yemen. The Yemeni government stated on the same day that the Houthis have controlled the entire western coastline of the country and continue to advance southward.
