Zelensky says multiple areas in Ukraine were attacked, many injured
On May 1 local time, Ukrainian President Zelensky stated on social media that multiple locations in the country were attacked by Russian forces during the night.
Zelensky reported that the Russian side attacked Odesa, resulting in 5 injuries and two buildings catching fire; Kryvyi Rih was hit by a drone strike, causing 1 injury; Kharkiv's railway infrastructure was attacked, with a traction substation destroyed, leaving thousands of households without power; in addition, the Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions were also attacked.
Zelensky mentioned that the Russian military deployed 210 attack drones for this operation, of which about 140 were of the "Shahed" series.
On the same day, the Ukrainian national power company issued a statement saying that the Russian attacks led to power outages for users in multiple states, and emergency repair work has begun in areas where safety conditions allow.
