Zelensky says Ukraine has suffered large-scale airstrikes in multiple areas, resulting in 9 deaths

On June 15 local time, Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that Russia launched a large-scale airstrike on multiple locations in Ukraine in the early hours of the day, firing a total of 70 missiles and deploying 611 drones, with cities such as Kyiv and Kharkiv being successively attacked.

Zelensky mentioned that Kyiv and Kharkiv are still engaged in post-disaster recovery efforts. According to Ukrainian statistics, there have been 4 deaths and 28 injuries in Kyiv. In Kharkiv, 5 people have died and 9 have been injured. Additionally, all regions in Ukraine have been targeted by Russian forces.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that since 6 PM local time on the 14th, Russian forces have launched a large-scale joint strike against Ukraine using attack drones and missiles, primarily targeting Kyiv, with Kharkiv and other areas also coming under attack. According to preliminary data, as of 8 AM local time on the 15th, Ukrainian air defense forces have shot down or suppressed 632 aerial targets. The attacks are still ongoing, and there are still several Russian drones in Ukrainian airspace.

Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Ignat confirmed that Kyiv was subjected to a large-scale airstrike by Russian forces, marking the largest scale of ballistic missile deployment in this round of offensive. The attack utilized multiple types of coordinated munitions, and the offensive was fierce, causing damage in many areas of Kyiv.

On the same day, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Russian forces launched a large-scale strike against the defense industrial complex facilities in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro-Petrovsk, as well as military airfields and conscription centers.
