Recently,

a reconnaissance squad leader from a certain brigade of the Southern Theater Army,

Zhao Gangliang,

achieved outstanding results with a perfect score in all subjects,

becoming the first soldier in the brigade to be awarded the

“Special Level 1” in military sports training.

Behind this impressive achievement

is his years of silent dedication.

Zhao Gangliang

is seen as a physical fitness elite by his comrades.

In 2023,

he passed the “Special Level 3” assessment with a score of 454.

However, he did not rest on his laurels,

but instead charged towards a higher goal.

In 2024,

Zhao Gangliang participated in the “Special Level” assessment again,

improving his score to 474,

just 6 points short of the “Special Level 2” standard.

He did not lose heart,

always anchoring his determination

to strive for the “Special Level 1” goal.

In 2025,

after the implementation of the new “Military Sports Training Outline,”

the standards for special level assessment were updated,

increasing the weight of combat fitness

and practical skills,

placing greater emphasis on comprehensive physical quality.

To meet the new outline's assessment requirements,

Zhao Gangliang insisted on

self-imposing pressure and rigorous training.

To break through the bottleneck in his armed five-kilometer cross-country performance,

he proactively increased the intensity of his load-bearing training.

To refine his practical skills in 800-meter frog swimming,

he focused on mastering the core movements.

After four months of honing,

he gradually addressed his weaknesses.

Ultimately, in 11 assessments,

he achieved full marks in all,

successfully earning the title of

“Special Level 1” in military sports training.
