Chinese peacekeeping officer Cheng Yuda from the 24th batch to Lebanon: Being at the forefront of conflict, every mission comes with unknown risks. This honor is hard-earned, filled with excitement and a heavy sense of reverence, fully aware that behind this glory is the steadfastness day after day.

Since the outbreak of large-scale conflict at the Lebanon-Israel border in early March this year, there have been continuous exchanges of fire in the mission area, and security risks have sharply increased. Chinese peacekeeping officers and soldiers have steadfastly held their positions, actively undertaking unexploded ordnance disposal and road clearance tasks, having cleared a total of 850 kilometers of roads while simultaneously providing emergency medical support; they have continuously advanced the construction of defense projects for the UNIFIL command, completing over 40 construction tasks, repairing 3,680 meters of protective barriers, and maintaining 23,600 square meters of security facilities, effectively enhancing the defense capabilities of the camp.

Beyond their core tasks, the officers and soldiers have also actively engaged in humanitarian assistance, donating over 7,000 items to the Lebanese Armed Forces, local Red Cross organizations, and the public. They have conducted over 30 mutual visits and exchanges with peacekeeping forces from Italy, France, Poland, Ghana, and local organizations, enhancing cooperation and mutual trust. The Chinese peacekeeping officers and soldiers have earned recognition from all sides with their disciplined conduct and professional competence, fully showcasing the demeanor of Chinese soldiers in the new era.
