East Sea Blade! Coast Guard Conducts Day-Night Shipboard Helicopter Landing Training
Recently, a unit of the East China Sea Branch of the China Coast Guard organized continuous day-and-night shipboard helicopter landing training in the East China Sea. By setting up realistic combat scenarios, they honed the ability of coast guard law enforcement officers to coordinate ship and aircraft operations and perform tasks in all weather conditions.
At the airfield, maintenance personnel quickly carried out various preparations before flight, while airborne mechanics accompanied the pilots to inspect the aircraft, ensuring the safe launch of the shipboard helicopter.

As night fell, they transitioned to nighttime landing training. The crew members closely coordinated, using the deck lights for guidance, successfully landing the helicopter on the ship. Due to the complex and variable maritime climate, pilots had to overcome the negative impacts of changes in wind speed, wind direction, and ship motion. The crew and the ship's command center worked closely together to seize favorable opportunities to maneuver the helicopter onto the ship's deck.

Pilot Liu Peng from a unit of the East China Sea Branch of the China Coast Guard: In this nighttime landing training, we adhered to a combat-oriented approach, closely focused on mission requirements, highlighted multi-professional collaboration, and emphasized the characteristics of comprehensive element interaction and integrated support. This training honed the China Coast Guard's ability to coordinate ship and aircraft operations and respond to tasks in complex environments, significantly enhancing the effectiveness of maritime law enforcement to safeguard national maritime rights and interests.
