Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, April 6 (Reporter Shadati) - Iranian foreign policy expert Abbas Aslani said in an interview with Xinhua reporters in Tehran on the 6th that the U.S. government's considerations and predictions regarding military actions against Iran contain "huge errors," and its strategic objectives have not been achieved, leading to a situation where "the more they struggle, the more difficult it becomes."

Aslani stated that after weeks of conflict, Tehran has shown no signs of weakness or surrender. Meanwhile, the U.S. and Israel are attacking Iran's energy, scientific, medical, and industrial infrastructure, indicating their failure to achieve military and strategic goals, attempting to pressure the Iranian government by harming the Iranian people, and even attacking nuclear facilities, continuing the war in a "very dangerous manner for the entire region."

Aslani indicated that the purpose of the U.S. and Israeli invasion is to change the Iranian regime and system, and to destroy Iran's military capabilities and infrastructure. However, Iran is still able to shoot down U.S. aircraft and respond to attacks, "which means that the U.S. and Israel have failed to achieve their strategic objectives."

Aslani believes that the Trump administration is, to some extent, "angry and exhausted" with the current situation. Unable to find a way out of the predicament or a retreat, they are attempting to further escalate the situation. However, the longer the conflict lasts, the more complicated the situation becomes for the U.S., and the consequences become more severe.
