Explosion of unexploded ordnance kills 14 members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, May 1 - According to a report from the Iranian Tasnim News Agency on the 1st, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran stated that 14 guard personnel died that day while handling unexploded ordnance, and two others were injured.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that the United States and Israel used cluster bombs and air-dropped landmines in airstrikes, posing a threat to certain areas in the northwestern province of Zanjan, including approximately 1,200 hectares of farmland. The bomb disposal battalion of the Revolutionary Guard's special forces has discovered and neutralized a large number of unexploded ordnance in the area.
