Iran's "Real Commitment-4" Operation Launches 61st Wave of Attacks in Retaliation for Larijani's Assassination
Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, March 18 - The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran announced on the 18th that it has launched the 61st wave of the "True Commitment-4" operation in retaliation for the assassination of Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran.
The Iranian Fars News Agency reported, citing a statement from the Revolutionary Guard, that in this round of strikes, the Revolutionary Guard launched "Castle Destroyer" and "Imad" missiles, as well as multi-warhead "Khoramshahr-4" and "Qader" missiles. The missiles hit over a hundred military and security targets in Tel Aviv, Israel, "without any interference."
The Revolutionary Guard stated that after the airstrikes, power was disrupted in some areas of Tel Aviv. It is estimated that the number of casualties in Israel from this attack exceeds 230.
The Supreme National Security Council of Iran issued a statement early on the 18th, confirming that Ali Larijani was killed in the airstrikes. His son, Morteza Larijani, the deputy for security affairs at the Supreme National Security Council Secretariat, Ali Reza Bayat, and several accompanying personnel were also killed.
