Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, June 7 - The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on the evening of the 7th that its Aerospace Force struck the Ramat David Air Force Base located in northern Israel with ballistic missiles that night.

The statement said that this operation was aimed at responding to Israel's recent military actions in multiple locations in southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of the capital Beirut. The Iranian side believes that the Ramat David Air Force Base is one of the important bases for the Israeli military to carry out related military operations.

The statement indicated that Iran's acceptance of a ceasefire arrangement on April 8 was predicated on a comprehensive ceasefire across all fronts, but the U.S. and Israel have not fulfilled their commitments since then. The statement accused Israel of continuing military operations in Lebanon and accused the U.S. and Israel of taking actions against Iranian vessels and coastal targets in the Strait of Hormuz, the Gulf of Oman, and the Indian Ocean, undermining the ceasefire arrangement.

The statement claimed that Iran's missile strike on Israel that night was of a "warning nature," and if Israel's related military actions continue to escalate, Iran's future responses will further expand, potentially covering more U.S. and Israeli-related targets in the region.

According to a report from the Israel Defense Forces on the 7th, Iran launched at least three rounds of missiles at Israel that night, and the Israeli military "intercepted all incoming missiles." Israeli media quoted an Israeli official as saying that Israel would "respond strongly."
