Israel Confirms Deployment of "Iron Dome" in UAE During US-Israel-Iran Conflict
According to Israeli sources on May 5 local time, Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev confirmed that at the beginning of the conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran, Israel had deployed a "Iron Dome" air defense system to the UAE. This is the first time the "Iron Dome" has been deployed to a country outside of Israel and the United States.
It is reported that this is the first time an Israeli government official has publicly acknowledged the deployment of the "Iron Dome" system to the UAE. Previously, this information had been confirmed by U.S. officials.
Israel and the UAE signed a normalization agreement in 2020, after which economic and military ties have continued to strengthen.

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee stated on May 12 at a meeting held at Tel Aviv University that Israel has deployed the "Iron Dome" air defense system and related personnel in the UAE. U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield also confirmed that Israel has deployed the "Iron Dome" air defense system in the UAE and has helped the UAE intercept Iranian missiles during recent conflicts.

Public information shows that the "Iron Dome" air defense system was developed by Israel's Rafael company and mainly consists of three parts: detection and tracking radar, battle management and weapon control system, and missile launch units. It was officially deployed in 2011 for intercepting short-range rockets and missiles.
