Xinhua News Agency, Kyiv, May 24 (Reporter Li Dongxu) - The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tkachchenko, posted on social media early on the 24th that the city was subjected to a large-scale ballistic missile attack, with buildings in several districts catching fire. As of around 2 a.m., at least three people were injured.

Tkachchenko stated that buildings in several districts, including Shevchenkivskyi, Podilskyi, Darnytskyi, and Solomianskyi, were attacked, and the casualty situation is still being further verified.

Reporters from Xinhua stationed in Kyiv noted that starting around 1 a.m., strong explosions were heard in Kyiv city and Kyiv region, with Ukrainian air defense forces continuously intercepting. As of the time of the report, the air raid was still ongoing.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations announced on the 23rd that the death toll from the attack by the Ukrainian armed forces on a vocational school in the Luhansk region has risen to 21, with all the bodies of the deceased having been recovered from the rubble. The Ukrainian military denied attacking the school.
