On March 14, Xinhua News Agency reported from Moscow (Reporter Zhao Bing) that Moscow Mayor Sobyanin announced on social media that Russian air defense forces shot down 65 Ukrainian drones heading for Moscow that day.

According to the Russian TASS news agency, this is one of the largest drone attacks Moscow has faced this year.

Sobyanin began posting updates on social media about the downed Ukrainian drones starting in the afternoon, and by close to midnight, the total reached 65.

The Russian Ministry of Defense released a statement on the evening of the 14th, saying that from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. that day, Russian air defense forces intercepted and shot down 280 Ukrainian drones over various regions of Russia, including 47 heading for Moscow.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not mention this incident in their report that day.
