Netanyahu Claims Israeli Army Has Killed Nine Thousand Hezbollah Militants
Xinhua News Agency, Jerusalem, June 27 (Reporter Pang Xinyi, Feng Guorui) Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated in a video speech on the 27th that since "the war began," the Israeli military has killed more than 9,000 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah armed group, with over 200 armed personnel killed in just the past two weeks, and is clearing Hezbollah's armed infrastructure throughout the "security zone."
Netanyahu said that Israel will continue to remain in the southern "security zone" of Lebanon until Hezbollah is disarmed. He also stated that the trilateral framework agreement between Israel, Lebanon, and the United States sends a signal to Iran that Iran and Hezbollah "have no right to participate" in matters related to resolving the Lebanon-Israel conflict.
