Poland orders Turkish surveillance systems for its scout vehicles

Turkish defense company ASELSAN has signed a new export contract to supply Poland with 24 more sets of its ARSUS reconnaissance and surveillance systems, the company announced September 8 at the MSPO defense exhibition in Kielce, Poland.

ASELSAN signed the deal with Polish manufacturer AMZ Kutno for use by the Polish Armed Forces. Deliveries are planned for 2028 and 2029, adding to a broader framework agreement the two companies signed in 2024 that covers deliveries through 2035.

The ARSUS system is a mast-mounted reconnaissance and surveillance suite that combines radar, day and night cameras, and other sensors. AMZ Kutno integrates it onto its Kleszcz armored reconnaissance vehicles, which are based on the company’s Bóbr-3 4×4 chassis. Poland ordered 286 of the Kleszcz vehicles in 2024, with deliveries running from 2026 through 2035, and received its first ARSUS-equipped systems in late 2025.

“As a global defense brand, ASELSAN is continuing to expand its international footprint, particularly across Europe, NATO markets and other key regions,” said Ahmet Akyol, president and CEO of ASELSAN. “Poland is an important part of this broader international growth, and our partnership with the country has been gaining momentum. This new contract is another important step in deepening our cooperation.”

“Following last year’s major electronic warfare contract, we are now expanding our collaboration into reconnaissance and surveillance, further strengthening the relationship between ASELSAN and Polish industry,” Akyol said.

That earlier deal, a $410 million electronic warfare export agreement, was signed in December 2025. ASELSAN says it now works with more than 20 Polish suppliers and is looking at further cooperation in training, maintenance and joint centers of excellence.

ASELSAN describes itself as Europe’s fifth-largest defense company by market capitalization. Founded in Türkiye in 1975, the company builds systems spanning air defense, electronic warfare, counter-drone weapons, and naval and underwater platforms. At MSPO 2026, it is also displaying its STEEL DOME air defense architecture, which includes several counter-drone systems such as the GÖKBERK laser weapon and the KORKUT anti-drone gun, along with naval drones including the KILIÇ underwater vehicle and TUFAN surface vessel.

The company says it exports to 97 countries and has a direct presence in 25, with more than 14,000 employees.
