Saudi-led coalition announces participation in "Yemen Dawn" military operation
Xinhua News Agency, Riyadh, October 5 (Reporter Luo Chen) - Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Saudi Arabia-led coalition, announced on social media on the 5th that 100 fighter jets from the coalition participated in the "Yemen Dawn" military operation early that morning, destroying 324 high-value targets.
Turki stated that the coalition is providing air cover for the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and continuously striking moving targets. The coalition is also providing round-the-clock air support to assist the ground operations of the Yemeni government armed forces.
On the 5th, Rashad Alimi, chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen, issued a statement through the Saba News Agency, which is controlled by the Yemeni government, announcing the launch of the "Yemen Dawn" operation to restore the functioning of national institutions, liberate the capital Sana'a, and end the Houthi armed rebellion.
