Xinhua News Agency, Riyadh, October 7 (Reporter Luo Chen, Wang Haizhou) - Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition, said on social media on the evening of the 7th that the coalition has destroyed a ballistic missile launch platform located in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa, which was intended to attack the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

Al-Maliki also stated that the launch platform was being prepared to launch a new attack on Saudi Arabia when it was destroyed.

Earlier on the 7th, Al-Maliki mentioned on social media that the coalition intercepted a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi armed group from Yemen in the northern part of Riyadh.

The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation also issued a statement on the 7th, saying that Abha International Airport in the southwest and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh were attacked from the 6th to the 7th, resulting in 3 deaths and 36 injuries.
