Not long ago, the 9th ship of the Type 055 destroyer, the Dongguan, and the 10th ship, the Anqing, were commissioned simultaneously, and then they respectively headed to relevant waters in the East China Sea to conduct their first maritime combat training. The two newly unveiled 10,000-ton destroyers have significantly improved in terms of ship performance and weaponry. Let's take a look at the exclusive visit by the reporter from the Central Broadcasting Station on the Navy's Dongguan.

The "10,000-ton destroyer" can achieve effective damage strikes.

Reporter from the Central Broadcasting Station, Li Xiaoqi: The first time I encountered the Dongguan, I felt the heavy weight of the words "10,000-ton destroyer." It stands before me like a great mountain; it is not only "large" but more importantly, it has a "hard punch."

Reporter from the Central Broadcasting Station, Li Xiaoqi: This is the main gun of the Dongguan. You can see that it is much taller than my height of 1.65 meters. The 130mm caliber means it can achieve effective damage strikes.

Navy Dongguan, Leng Xu: Our main gun has a large caliber, which means it has greater destructive power. Additionally, it has the advantages of high firing rate and large ammunition capacity, with very good reliability. It can effectively strike enemy targets at sea and on land.

Like "chocolate blocks," the vertical launch system has a total of 64 launch units on the foredeck, and there are another 48 in the midsection of the ship, making a total of 112 launch units on the entire ship.

Its main feature is a large payload capacity, and it can carry various types of missiles, such as air defense missiles and anti-ship missiles, all launched from here.

The "ten-thousand-round gun" on the Dongguan is the "trump card" for the ship's terminal defense. Its main features are high firing rate, low cost, and a strong probability of damage. During an attack, it can instantly create a "barrage" to effectively intercept incoming enemy missiles and aircraft.

Navy Dongguan, Zhang Chen: We are equipped with dual hangars, allowing us to carry more types of carrier-based aircraft and drones. Compared to previous ship types, our deck is larger, providing a bigger stage. With more hangars, our responsibilities have increased. Therefore, we need to work harder in training, standardizing every action, forming patterns, and adapting to future battlefield needs.

"Awakening Lion, Awakening National Soul" - Ship Culture Construction Full of Technological Sense

Navy Dongguan, Jiao Kui: The awakening lion is a traditional folk art of Dongguan, symbolizing "the awakening lion awakens the national soul." From above, its forehead symbolizes missile launch. The middle part is the abbreviation of Dongguan, and its eyebrows resemble the radar detection fan. The central part is composed of Dongguan's chips and electronic components, reflecting our strong information warfare capabilities, while the number 109 is derived from our ship's emblem.

Navy Dongguan, Jiao Kui: We use aesthetically pleasing technology to showcase our combat culture. The ship also features a gym, library, and music room, which subtly influence and inspire the officers and soldiers.

Navy Dongguan, Jiao Kui: We utilize the limited space effectively, allowing officers and soldiers to use it in shifts. Especially at sea, this helps us maintain good physical condition. The physical fitness requirements for ship personnel are high because we often stand watch, whether sitting or standing, we must remain focused and keep a close eye on our targets, which consumes a lot of energy and stamina.
