More than 90 years ago, the Central Red Army set out from Ruijin, Jiangxi, embarking on the Long March that would change the fate of China. Today, the armed police soldiers stationed in this red hot land are deeply cultivating red resources, continuing the red bloodline, integrating the spirit of the Long March into practical combat training, refining elite troops through the inheritance of their original intentions, and walking the new era's Long March path in the practice of strengthening the military.

In a mountainous forest area of southern Jiangxi, a complex multi-subject field combat exercise is underway. Mountain maneuvering, covert searches, coordinated assaults, and casualty transport are being implemented in a continuous manner for several hours.

After the exercise, the soldiers did not return to the camp but instead held a story meeting about the Long March to help the new comrades quickly adapt to regular training.

Liuzhenxing, Jiangxi Armed Police Corps, Ganzhou Detachment: We have continuously conducted high-intensity training in unfamiliar outdoor areas, facing emotions of "retreat" and "fear of difficulty" when encountering challenging subjects. But this is precisely the most authentic psychological state we experience during training. Every challenge we face and every limit we break on the training ground represents a new Long March path for us, the revolutionary soldiers of the new era.

Ruijin, Jiangxi, has 129 revolutionary historical sites, serving as vivid teaching materials for the soldiers' red education. Having been stationed here for over seventy years, the troops incorporate red education for new recruits into their daily routine, starting from visiting the historical sites and revisiting revolutionary history, guiding the soldiers step by step to understand the spirit of the Long March.

Shen Guohao, Jiangxi Armed Police Corps, Ruijin Detachment: Every time new recruits join, we organize a "Five Ones" activity for red education. They drink a sip of the red well water that carries the deep affection between the military and the people, read a collection of stories documenting the Long March in the Soviet area, sing a red song passed down through generations, walk a section of the mountain path taken by the Red Army when they set out on the Long March, and attend a class on the spirit of the Long March, immediately imprinting the red mark on the new recruits.

More than 90 years ago, 17 young men who had just joined the Red Army planted 17 green pines in Huawu. The Long March was victorious, the green pines remain, but all the tree planters have "gone north with no news."

Peng Xiang, Jiangxi Armed Police Corps, Ruijin Detachment: For us, the spirit of the Long March has never been an empty slogan. Carrying a heavier load, running an extra obstacle course, standing an extra guard shift—these are all concrete practices of the spirit of the Long March.

In recent years, to help soldiers inherit the spirit of the Long March and cherish collective honor, the detachment began to establish honor numbers to pay tribute to the past soldiers who silently persevered and dedicated their youth. Each active-duty soldier receives a unique honor number that accompanies them throughout their military career, passing on the spirit of the Long March.

Shen Guohao, Jiangxi Armed Police Corps, Ruijin Detachment: The honor number is not a cold number, but a connection between the perseverance of revolutionary predecessors and our current mission. Now that we are guarding our territory, we should pass down the fine tradition of not fearing difficulties and striving to be the best from generation to generation.

We must hone the hard skills to win battles, but we must also uphold our original intention to serve the people. For many years, the troops have consistently supported the local honored nursing home and provided assistance to underprivileged students, writing a moving chapter of deep military-civilian ties on this red hot land through practical actions.

Zhou Quan, Jiangxi Armed Police Corps, Ganzhou Detachment: We continue to guide all soldiers to inherit and promote the spirit of the Long March, transforming red faith into a powerful motivation for fulfilling responsibilities and preparing for military training. Based on our positions, we guard the lights of thousands of homes in the revolutionary old areas, walking the new era's Long March path that belongs to our generation on the journey of strengthening the military.
