The U.S. Central Command indicated that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated in a declaration that the U.S. military's strike to prevent its mine-laying in the Strait of Hormuz was an "act of aggression," and that this assertion is "completely incorrect."

On the evening of the 30th local time, the U.S. military suddenly launched an attack on Iran's southern Larak Island. The U.S. military stated that this attack was the first military action against Iran in a month, targeting the rocket launch systems of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on the island.
