UK Drones Join the Battle, Russia Warns: The Deeper Britain's Involvement in the Russia-Ukraine Conflict, the Higher the Price It Will Pay

“What London has done will have consequences, and the UK must take responsibility for this.” After confirming that British-made drones were used by Ukraine to attack targets within Russia, Russia accused the UK of “deliberately choosing to escalate the Ukrainian crisis.”

According to reports from the BBC and the Daily Telegraph on the 18th, the Russian Embassy in the UK stated in a declaration that “reports indicate that the Kyiv regime is using British drones to attack deep into Russian territory, which confirms that London is deliberately betting on the escalation of the Ukrainian crisis while hypocritically claiming to seek peace.” The statement warned that the deeper the UK intervenes in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, “the higher the price will be.”

The Daily Telegraph reported that before the warning from the Russian Embassy in the UK, there were reports that Ukraine was using drones manufactured by two British companies to strike a refinery located deep within Russian territory. The reports did not clarify what measures Russia threatened to take in retaliation for Ukraine's use of British drones. However, last week, Russia threatened to seize British vessels in response to the West intercepting sanctioned Russian “shadow fleet” tankers.

In response to the Russian warning, a spokesperson for the UK Ministry of Defence told the BBC that the UK stands “shoulder to shoulder” with Ukraine.
