Ukraine claims Russian attacks on energy facilities caused blackouts in multiple states
On November 1 local time, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy reported that the Russian military launched attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, causing power outages for some users in eight regions across the country. Among them, the energy facilities in Kyiv Oblast and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast were the most severely damaged, resulting in significant disruption to the power system and an extremely severe power supply situation.
Due to the damage to energy equipment, the local capacity to deliver electricity to end users is limited. Currently, emergency power outage measures have been initiated in the affected areas to ensure the safety of the power grid, and subsequent power restoration efforts are ongoing.
There has been no response from the Russian side regarding this matter. (Reporter: Dong Wei, CCTV)
