On the 20th local time, the mayor of Kyiv, Klitschko, reported that the Russian attacks have resulted in 8 deaths.

Mayor Klitschko stated that from late night on August 19 to early morning on the 20th, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv, causing casualties and power outages in some areas.

In the early hours of the 20th, the Ukrainian Air Force posted on social media that Russian forces had initiated a new round of ballistic missile attacks on Ukraine, with ballistic missiles moving towards the capital city of Kyiv.

At around midnight, the Ukrainian Air Force issued a warning that multiple ballistic missiles were flying towards Kyiv from Chernihiv Oblast and Poltava Oblast. Subsequently, multiple strong explosions were heard in Kyiv, followed by a brief interruption of power supply in the Dnipro region. Previously, Kyiv had already experienced two rounds of intense and sustained explosions.

As of now, there has been no response from the Russian side.
