U.S. Military Strikes Iran for Two Consecutive Days, Iran Threatens "Hell" Response

The U.S. Central Command released a statement on social media on the 27th, stating that U.S. forces conducted a new round of strikes on multiple targets within Iran that day.

The statement noted that Iranian armed forces launched an attack drone early on the 27th Eastern Time, hitting a tanker flying the Panamanian flag that was sailing near the Strait of Hormuz. The military action initiated by the U.S. that day was a direct response to "Iran's ongoing attacks on commercial vessels." U.S. fighter jets targeted Iranian military surveillance facilities, communication systems, air defense positions, drone storage facilities, and mine-laying equipment.

The statement said that commercial vessels can still pass through the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. military will maintain a high level of alert and be ready to respond to various situations at any time.

Shortly thereafter, the U.S. Central Command continued to post videos on social media, stating that U.S. fighter jets had just struck 10 military targets in Iran in the Strait of Hormuz and nearby areas.

Earlier, the Iranian Islamic Republic Broadcasting and Television reported explosions in the Sirik region of southern Iran.

On the 26th, the U.S. Central Command issued a statement saying that U.S. forces had struck Iran that day in response to an attack on a commercial vessel passing through the Strait of Hormuz the previous day. Iran's Revolutionary Guard strikes U.S. military targets, vows to take a tougher stance on "violating" vessels

On the 28th, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement saying that the Navy and Air Force used missiles and drones to destroy 8 important U.S. military infrastructures located at the Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait and the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, decisively responding to recent U.S. "aggression."

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated on the 28th that it would take decisive action in response to U.S. aggression and intensify strikes on "violating vessels." The statement said, "From now on, the intensity of strikes on violating vessels will be greater than ever. Regardless of the excuse, even if it is aggression against small targets like in the past two days, it will face devastating strikes." The statement also indicated that violations of the ceasefire and the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding "will lead to a complete interruption of the relevant processes."
