Kizilelma

Baykar describes Bayraktar KIZILELMA as an unmanned fighter aircraft developed from Turkey's combat-drone experience and next-generation aviation technologies. Company flight-test reporting calls it Turkey's first unmanned fighter jet. The database category currently says MALE UAV, but KIZILELMA is better described as a jet UCAV/unmanned fighter program.

KIZILELMA is shaped by requirements different from Bayraktar TB2 or Akıncı. A jet-powered unmanned fighter concept emphasizes speed, reduced signatures, weapons carriage, and operation in contested airspace. Baykar highlights autonomous and advanced mission features, while ongoing flight tests indicate that the program is still maturing rather than a fully established operational fleet.

If matured, KIZILELMA could expand Turkish airpower by adding attritable or optionally networked combat aircraft to manned fighters and UAV fleets. The main uncertainties are engine supply, sensors, weapons integration, autonomy, cost, and survivability against modern air defenses. It should be treated as a major developmental program with high potential rather than as a proven replacement for fighter aircraft.
